Interview with Director Sue Porrett
Aerial Angels Productions captured the heart of Australia and the world through years of spectacular performances, and this success led to the creation of the Cirque Academy – an acrobatic school where both kids and adults can learn the tricks of the trade – as well as the Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub.
Aerial Angels Director Sue Porrett recently joined Chris Hogan at this stunning venue to discuss the origins of her world-renowned entertainment agency, what’s next in the pipeline, and Sue’s recent win in the entertainment category of the Woman of the Year Awards.

Sue Porrett
DIRECTOR
Susan has over 30 years’ experience in all forms of live shows and theatre entertainment. Susan’s incredible knowledge of the industry comes from years of travelling the world as both performer and producer.
Aerial Angels Productions owes its fantastic reputation to Susan who has produced and directed literally hundreds of large-scale shows, including, The Great Moscow Circus – 50th Year Anniversary, Casino productions, International events, Theme park spectaculars and corporate productions around the globe.
Susan takes most pride in the youth, energy and friendship she has with her team who together are constantly pushing the boundaries in producing spectacular live entertainment.
Kate Grammatico
PRODUCTION CO-ORDINATOR & ENTERTAINMENT CONSULTANT
Kate originally begun working for Aerial Angels in 2001 as a performer. She moved into a consulting role as well as being the company choreographer in 2009.
Prior to this role Kate worked in the Show and Entertainment department as a Team Supervisor and Choreographer at Warner Village Theme Parks for eight years. Kate was a professional performer with a lengthy performer resume’ for 20 years, working extensively throughout Australia and Asia.
Kate’s extensive industry knowledge and experience combined with a passion for Entertainment and Events has ensured the success of many corporate shows, major events and stage productions for Aerial Angels.
Kate will be committed to making your event run smoothly and be one that your guests will never forget!
Kate also has an addiction to Chocolate
Shannon Hatchman
ENTERTAINMENT MANAGER
Shannon has worked as a professional dancer/singer for over 10 years working with artists such as Guy Sebastian, Samantha Jade, Baz Luhrmann, William Forysthe, Courtney Act and New York choreographer’s Michael Schwandt and Galen Hooks, as well as performing with multiple productions and tours around Australia and overseas. Some of these include The Australian Tour of “Bring It On” The Musical, “House of Magic”- Macau, choreographer for “Rock of Ages”-The Musical Sydney and ‘World Festival Of Magic’ Australian Tour- Michael Boyd.
With Shannon’s extension background within performing as well as choreography, stage, events, and production management, she strives to continue this knowledge within Aerial Angels to ensure our clients are very well taken care of.
Amanda Taylor
ENTERTAINMENT CONSULTANT
Amanda was a former professional dancer and alongside her extensive professional performing career she began performing with Aerial Angels in 2001.
Moving into the choreography world, Amanda has choreographed and managed events for Aerial Angels for the past 8 years.
Amanda has been an integral part of the Angels team and 2021 will see Amanda join the Aerial Angels office and production team on a more permanent basis. Amanda’s knowledge and experience in the events industry will be an incredible addition to any of our client’s future events.
Gisela Lim
ACCOUNTS
Gisela graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor in International Business.
She has since followed up her degree with an accounting and book keeping course and been working as a Bookkeeper/ Accounts Manager for Aerial Angels since 2006.
Kristina Brooks
CIRQUE CENTRAL MANAGER
Kristina first introduction to Aerial Angels was in 2010 when her youngest daughter joined the Prep Circus class as a 2 year old. Now the Academy Manager, her background in management and operations helps ensure the smooth running of the school. Always there with a friendly smile, Kristina loves helping our students achieve their dreams of ‘running away to join the circus’.
Leah Jacobs
PRO COURSE CO-ORDINATOR
Leah has over 20 years of extensive experience in performing as an Aerialist, acrobat, dancer and Cirque performer.
Leah has an extensive performance resume’ having performed around the globe for Aerial Angels productions, including, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and India just to name a few.
Her talent has been utilised in many live shows including ‘Inneurve’ and ‘Solaria’ at Conrad Jupiter’s Casino and various variety shows on Costa cruise lines.
Leah has also been teaching aerial and acrobatics for 15 years and is currently a resident teacher and the course co-ordinator for the Aerial Angels Pro Course.
Leah brings her knowledge from years of performing to the Aerial angels office and is the perfect liaison for our
Apart from being an acclaimed performer Leah also has a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning and Investment’s with a major in Accounting.
Let’s say that numbers are her thing and she can run a mean budget and spreadsheet.
Dallas D’bois
CREATIVE CONSULTANT
Dallas D’bois has worked exclusively in the entertainment Industry for the last 20 years.
Dallas spent 15 years as the Theatre Manager at Jupiters Casino Australia before leaving to join the Angelis Production team.
During his time at Jupiters Dallas worked with some of the biggest names in the Industry including Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Seal, Kelly Rowland, Michael Bolton, Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, Burt Bacharach, Diana Ross, Macy Gray and Human Nature, and Ronan Keating.
Dallas also has extensive experience in the production of live shows having worked alongside such hits stage shows as Tap Dogs, Burn the Floor, Abba Mania, Jabbawockeez, STOMP, Merchants of Bollywood as well as 9 multimillion dollar stage spectaculars created exclusively for Jupiters. He recently had the pleasure of assisting with the creation and production of the hit shows LumiAir, Zircus and Solaria.
